Website maintenance in Prague that grows your site, not just patches it

Most maintenance contracts pay someone to stop your site from breaking. Ours pays for making it better every month (content, performance and SEO) from CZK 2,500/month, cancel anytime.

Maintenance should not mean “keeping the lights on”

The typical website maintenance contract in Prague is an insurance policy: a monthly fee so that somebody updates plugins, renews certificates and reacts when the site falls over. You pay every month and, in a good month, nothing happens.

We think that’s a poor use of your money. A website is your hardest-working salesperson, and a salesperson you never train doesn’t get better. So our care plans are built the other way around: the boring protective work is automated and included, and the monthly fee buys visible improvement: updated content, new pages, faster load times, better rankings. At the end of each month you can point at what changed.

What a care plan includes

Every plan, starting at CZK 2,500/month, covers five kinds of work:

  • Content updates. New prices, menus, staff, photos, opening hours, seasonal offers: sent by email, live within a day or two. No CMS to log into and no formatting to fight.
  • New sections and landing pages. A page for a new service, a campaign landing page for your ads, a Christmas menu. Larger builds are quoted separately and honestly, but most additions fit inside the plan.
  • Performance monitoring. We watch uptime, Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed scores continuously. Your site launched at 100/100, and the plan makes sure it stays there as browsers, devices and Google’s expectations move.
  • SEO iteration. Rankings aren’t a launch-day achievement; they’re a habit. We review Search Console data, adjust titles and internal links, and flag content opportunities, the ongoing half of our SEO service, in small monthly doses.
  • Backups with tested restores. Versioned copies of everything, and we periodically verify that a restore actually works. A backup nobody has ever restored is a hope, not a backup.

You get a short monthly summary in plain language: what we did, what we noticed, what we suggest next.

The honest part: static sites barely need “maintenance”

Here is the part of the pitch most agencies skip. A large share of classic maintenance work exists because of how the site was built. A WordPress site is a running application: PHP, a database, a theme and a dozen plugins, each a moving part that needs patches and each a potential way in for attackers. That’s not a criticism of WordPress; it’s simply what operating software costs, and for some projects it’s worth paying.

Our sites are hand-coded static files. There is no database to breach, no admin login to brute-force, no plugin to fall behind on. The security-patching treadmill that justifies many maintenance retainers simply doesn’t exist here, and we won’t charge you for pretending it does.

That’s exactly why our plans focus on growth instead. Since almost none of the fee is consumed by defensive busywork, nearly all of it goes into things that move the business: content, speed and search visibility. If you’re currently paying monthly mostly for plugin updates, a website redesign onto a static foundation often pays for itself in reduced care fees alone.

Fixed monthly blocks, not an hourly meter

Hourly maintenance billing creates a quiet conflict of interest: the slower the work, the bigger the invoice. It also makes every small request feel like a decision: “is fixing this typo worth opening a ticket?”

We sell fixed monthly blocks instead. You know the price before the month starts, and within your block you can ask for anything without watching a clock: five small text edits or one new landing page, your choice. If a request clearly exceeds the block (a whole new language version, for example), we say so up front and quote it as a fixed price, the same way we quote every project on our pricing page. No invoice should ever be a surprise.

Unused capacity isn’t silently pocketed either. In quiet months we spend the block proactively: refreshing older pages, improving internal linking, tightening image weights. The plan works for you even when you don’t have requests.

Response times you can plan around

Every message gets a reply within 24 hours on business days, the same promise we make to new inquiries, kept for existing clients first. Routine changes typically go live within one to two working days. Genuine outages and broken forms are treated as urgent and handled the same day, because we host most of the sites we care for and monitoring alerts usually reach us before you do.

Just as important: you write to the people who built or audited your site. There’s no first-line support reading a script, and no explaining your business from scratch every time.

Cancel anytime, because the work should keep you, not the contract

Care plans run month to month. No twelve-month minimum, no notice period longer than an email. If you cancel, your site keeps running untouched, and you receive a full copy of your code, content and backups. You own all of it from day one. Some clients run the plan year-round; seasonal businesses often pause for winter and return in spring. Both are fine.

If you’re weighing whether a plan makes sense for a site we didn’t build, send us the address via the contact page. We’ll audit it and give you a straight answer, including “you don’t need us monthly” when that’s the truth. And if you don’t have a site worth maintaining yet, start with web design and the first year of care is a much shorter conversation.

Frequently asked questions

What does the care plan cost and what do I get?

Plans start at CZK 2,500/month, which covers a fixed block of work: content changes, a new section or landing page when you need one, performance checks, backups and a monthly summary of what we did and why. Bigger blocks are available if you publish often or run campaigns. Every plan is a flat price agreed in advance. There is no hourly meter running.

My site is static, so does it even need maintenance?

It needs far less than a WordPress site, and we say so openly. There are no plugins to patch and effectively nothing to hack, so the “keep it from breaking” half of traditional maintenance mostly disappears. What remains is the valuable half: updating prices and photos, adding pages, watching Core Web Vitals, and iterating on SEO so the site keeps earning its keep.

How fast do you respond when something needs changing?

We reply within 24 hours on business days, and routine content changes are usually live within one to two working days. If something is genuinely broken (a form not delivering, a page down), it jumps the queue and we treat it as urgent regardless of your plan size. You write to a person who knows your site, not a ticket system.

Can I cancel, and what happens to my site if I do?

Yes, care plans run month to month with no minimum term, and you can cancel with a simple email. Your site keeps working exactly as it did; nothing is held hostage. You own the code, the domain and the content, and we hand over a complete copy plus your backups. Many clients pause over quiet seasons and come back before a busy one.

Can you maintain a website you didn’t build?

Often, yes. If it’s a static or lightly built site, we audit it first and tell you honestly what shape it’s in. If it’s a heavily plugin-dependent WordPress installation, ongoing patching is usually poor value. In that case we’ll recommend a redesign onto a static foundation and show the numbers, so you can compare the one-off cost against years of patch-chasing fees.

Not sure which service you need?

Describe your situation and we will point you to the right option, even if that means telling you not to buy from us yet.
