AI agents for law firms
An AI agent for a law firm sorts data-box messages and email into case files, extracts deadlines from decisions into the calendar, finds clauses across contracts and prepares a first draft from your templates. Legal judgement and signatures stay with the lawyer, and data stays in the EU or on your own servers, in line with professional secrecy.
Where the agent helps in a firm
The agent does routine document work. Legal advice and legal acts stay with the lawyer.
Data boxes and email
Assigns incoming messages to case files, summarises them and flags what needs a response. (A data box is the Czech official electronic mailbox.)
Deadlines
Extracts deadlines from decisions and letters and proposes the calendar entry. A lawyer or trainee confirms every deadline.
Contract review
Finds deviations from your template, penalties, dates and risky clauses and summarises them on one page.
Firm knowledge
Answers from your templates, memos and past submissions, always with a link to the source.
Draft documents
Prepares a first version of a contract, power of attorney or letter from your templates and case data, for review.
Time records
Proposes time entries per case from email, calendar and documents. The lawyer only reviews them.
How we deploy it
- Day 1
Consultation
We pick one task and map where case files and templates live and who may see what.
- Within 3 working days
Free prototype
The agent on a sample of anonymised or test documents. If you don’t like it, you don’t pay.
- Within 30 days
Live
Hosting in the EU or on-premise, access by case file, step logs and training.
- After
The next task
We add deadlines, contract review or draft documents.
Pay when it works.
Within 3 working days we build a free, working prototype on your own data. If you don’t like it, you don’t pay.
- For fixed-price projects with one clearly defined process
- After the free consultation and a written scope
- We need access to the data and systems named in the scope
- AI model costs during the prototype are on us
Where AI helps in a firm and where the lawyer decides
The agent prepares the groundwork; the lawyer carries the responsibility.
| Task | What the agent does | What the lawyer does |
|---|---|---|
| Incoming mail | Assigns to a case file, summarises, flags urgent items | Decides how to proceed |
| Deadlines | Extracts the deadline and proposes the calendar entry | Confirms the deadline |
| Contract review | Finds deviations from the template and risky clauses | Assesses and proposes changes |
| Internal research | Finds templates, memos and filings with sources | Judges what applies |
| Draft document | Prepares a first version from a template | Edits and signs |
| Time records | Proposes entries per case | Reviews and invoices |
How we protect client data
The approach we propose for information under professional secrecy:
- Hosting in the EU or on the firm’s servers, with an open-source model where needed
- Models that are not trained on your data
- The agent only accesses case files the user can access
- A log of every step and every query
- The prototype runs on anonymised or test documents

Questions
Is this compatible with professional secrecy?
We design the agent so data never leaves a controlled environment: hosting in the EU or on your servers, models that are not trained on your data, access by case file and a log of every step. Responsibility for client work stays with the lawyer.
Won’t the AI invent case law?
The agent only answers from the documents we connect it to and shows the source for every answer. Citations and conclusions are always verified by a lawyer.
Will the agent advise clients?
No. It is an internal tool. Externally it handles organisational matters at most, such as meeting times, and the client knows they are dealing with AI.
Is it a high-risk system under the AI Act?
High-risk systems include AI used by judicial authorities in their decisions. A firm’s internal document tools generally fall outside that category, but we check the classification at the start of every project.
How much does an AI agent for a law firm cost?
An agent for one process starts at €5,000 excl. VAT and is live within 30 days. AI model usage is billed by the provider, usually a small monthly amount we estimate upfront. The working prototype within 3 working days is free.
