SEO services in Prague for Google and Seznam
Search optimisation built for the Czech market: technical fixes, keyword strategy and multilingual setup that work on Google and Seznam alike. Audits from CZK 15,000, no empty promises.
Engineering first, promises never
Most SEO pitches open with content calendars and backlink packages. On the Czech small-business sites we audit, the biggest wins are usually less glamorous: pages that take four seconds to load, markup search engines can’t parse, and language versions quietly competing against each other. So we start with the machine.
Technical SEO at Prahapp covers three things Google explicitly measures. Core Web Vitals: the loading, responsiveness and stability metrics that feed directly into ranking; because our own builds are hand-coded static sites, we know exactly which levers move them (the full argument is in why fast sites win). Structured data: LocalBusiness, FAQ, Product and Review markup that turns a plain blue link into a result with ratings, prices and opening hours. And hreflang: the tags that tell Google which language version to show to whom, and the single most commonly botched item on multilingual Czech sites.
None of this is speculative. Each item either passes validation or it doesn’t, and you can watch the result in Search Console.
Two search engines, one market
Prague is one of the few European capitals where optimising for Google alone leaves money on the table. Seznam.cz still carries a meaningful share of Czech search, modest overall but concentrated among older and less technical users. If your customers are Czech homeowners, patients or anyone over fifty, Seznam deserves a line in your plan: a complete Firmy.cz profile, Seznam’s own webmaster tools, and a site structure both engines can crawl cleanly.
Czech keyword research is its own craft, and it is not translation. Czech is an inflected language (one keyword hides seven grammatical cases), and people genuinely search both with and without diacritics. A dentist’s customers might type “zubař Praha 2”, “zubar praha” or “akutní ošetření zubu”, and each pattern has different volume and different intent. We build the keyword map from Czech search data, not from your English page titles run through a translator.
Multilingual SEO for international businesses
A large share of our clients serve Prague’s expat and international community: clinics, law offices, relocation services, restaurants. Their search reality is split. English-speaking customers type “english speaking dentist prague”; Czech customers type “zubař Praha”; Germans searching from Munich type something else entirely. Each audience needs its own pages, its own keywords and its own titles, not one page machine-translated three ways.
The technical half of that is hreflang done correctly: every language version declaring its alternatives, no duplicate-content collisions, no Czech pages outranking your English ones in front of English readers. The strategic half is knowing which queries matter in which language, because they rarely mirror each other. This is the same multilingual thinking we build into every web design project from day one. SEO retrofitted after launch always costs more than SEO designed in.
What we won’t promise you
No ranking guarantees. Not because we lack confidence, but because nobody honest can offer one: Google doesn’t publish its algorithm, your competitors don’t stand still, and an agency that “guarantees position one” is usually planning to rank you for your own company name, a search you already win.
Here is what we put in writing instead: a measurable technical baseline before we start, a prioritised list of fixes with the reasoning behind each, the fixes actually implemented rather than handed over as a PDF, and reporting that shows, in your own Search Console, what changed. If at the audit stage we conclude SEO won’t pay off for your situation, we say that too. A studio that has been serving Prague since 2015 has more to lose from one overpromise than from one lost sale.
One-time audit or monthly work?
An SEO audit starts at CZK 15,000 and covers technical health, on-page optimisation, keyword mapping and a prioritised fix list, with the critical fixes implemented, not merely described. For many presentation sites in calm niches, that is genuinely all you need for a year or more.
Monthly SEO makes sense when the niche is contested (law, dentistry, e-commerce) or when you’re publishing content and want each piece to pull its weight. We scope it in fixed monthly blocks with no lock-in contract; if the numbers stop justifying the invoice, we’re the first to say so. Many clients pair ongoing SEO with a care plan from CZK 2,500/month, so technical health and search performance are watched by the same people. Full details are on the pricing page.
Measured in Search Console, not vanity dashboards
The SEO industry loves proprietary “visibility scores”: impressive curves that conveniently only their tool can produce. We report from Google Search Console: real impressions, real clicks, real queries, straight from Google. We set it up, verify your domain, and walk you through reading it yourself, because the fastest way to keep an agency honest is to see the same numbers it sees.
And we tie those numbers to business outcomes. Rankings are a means; the question we report against is whether more of the right people found you and got in touch. A page that climbs to position three for a keyword nobody converts on is a statistic, not a result.
Where to start
If your current site is slow, dated or built on a platform fighting against you, a website redesign often delivers a bigger SEO jump than optimisation alone: new engine first, then tuning. If the foundation is sound, start with the audit.
Either way, the first step is the same: tell us about your business in a few sentences covering what you sell, in which languages, and where customers currently come from. We reply within 24 hours with an honest read on whether SEO is your bottleneck, and a fixed price if it is.
Frequently asked questions
Can you guarantee a first-page ranking?
No, and we’d encourage you to be sceptical of anyone who does. Rankings depend on Google’s algorithm, your competitors and factors nobody outside Mountain View controls. What we can guarantee is the work: a technically flawless site, content mapped to real search demand, and honest reporting from Search Console. In our experience that combination moves rankings; a signature on a guarantee doesn’t.
Is Seznam still worth optimising for?
For most Czech-facing businesses, yes. Seznam still handles roughly a tenth of Czech searches, more among older and less technical users. If you sell to Czech homeowners, patients or pensioners, that traffic is too cheap to ignore. Most of the work overlaps with Google optimisation anyway, and the Seznam-specific steps (a proper Firmy.cz listing, Seznam webmaster tools) take hours, not weeks.
Do I need a one-time audit or monthly SEO?
Most small Prague businesses need one thorough audit with fixes, then a check-in every few months, not a retainer. Monthly work pays off in competitive niches like dentistry, law or e-commerce, or when you publish content regularly. We’ll tell you plainly which case you are; selling retainers to sites that don’t need them is exactly how SEO earned its reputation.
How long before SEO shows results?
Technical fixes often show in Search Console within weeks: faster crawling, more pages indexed, growing impressions. Ranking and traffic gains typically take three to six months, longer in competitive niches. Anyone promising results in thirty days is either targeting keywords nobody searches for or renting links that will eventually hurt you. We set expectations from your own Search Console data, not industry averages.
Can you optimise my existing WordPress or Shoptet site?
Yes. The audit works on any platform: WordPress, Shoptet, Webnode, custom builds. Some recommendations are platform-limited: Shoptet, for example, caps how fast pages can realistically get, and we’ll say so upfront rather than bill you for the impossible. If the platform itself turns out to be the bottleneck, we show you the numbers and let you decide whether a rebuild is worth it.
Not sure which service you need?
Describe your situation and we will point you to the right option, even if that means telling you not to buy from us yet.
