Cisco brings AI agents into Webex: chats, meetings and calls
At WebexOne 2026 in Austin, Cisco introduced agents that colleagues can assign work to inside team spaces, such as scheduling meetings, taking notes and tracking tasks.
Cisco also showed a meeting-prep agent that summarizes previous meetings, documents and messages, plus a translator agent. It announced support for Claude Managed Agents in Webex as well.
Many features are announced but not yet available, and advanced capabilities will be part of a new paid add-on.
What it means for companies
Agents are moving to where people already work: chat, calendar and meetings. The same principle applies to custom company agents, which should work inside the tools the team already knows.
